   Tiffany ADAMS

From doing solo performances in elementary school talent shows, to competing in national competitions at the college level, Tiffany has loved performing since a very young age. Over the past few years, she has explored her love of dance by taking classes, attending conventions and assisting other teachers. She has been a member of the Washburn University Dancing Blues, as well as the nationally ranked Elite at Washburn University Nationals Dance Squad. This past spring, Elite participated in the NDA Nationals Dance Competition in Daytona Beach, FL. Tiffany’s innovative and sassy Hip Hop class at Point B Dance is electrifying. She is thrilled to be a part of the Point B Dance family, and share her love of dance with others!

KARA CLAWSON:
Kara has been active in the dance world for the past 25 years. She began dancing and performing at a young age and continued throughout college. She earned a degree from Washburn University in Early Childhood Education. She has been a member of the Topeka Knight Dance Team for over 5 years and also choreographs for college and high school dance teams including the Emporia State dance team. Kara enjoys teaching all styles of jazz – from athletic to stylized. She has studied at the Edge and the Millennium professional studios in Los Angeles and is most inspired by Desiree Robbins, Ray Leeper, Alan Sherfield, and Liz Imperio. When not in the dance studio, Kara enjoys exercising, dirt bike riding, and spending time with her family.

M'CHELLE DEMARS:

M'chelle first began her study in middle eastern dance in 1999.  She has spent the last six years in teh intensive study of American bellydance, focusing primarily on American tribal and tribal fusion styles.  Her journey has led her to experimentation in Indian, African, and American styles of dance, helping her in the creation of what she terms Boxcar Fusion Bellydance - borrowing heavily from post WWI era styles and steampunk themes, with a contemporary flair.

CARLY MALSOM:
Carly Malsom’s love affair with Hip Hop began when she took Johnny Smith’s Intermediate Hip Hop class at the EDGE out in L.A. in the summer of 1998. Since then she has honed her skills as a hip hop dancer by attending many conventions and returning to L.A. when she can and using the dance club scene to show off - and maybe find somebody to battle it out on the dance floor. Carly has taught several Open Hip Hop classes: for one year at the Dance Factory, and the last two years at Fuzion School of Dance. She has also choreographed several award winning hip hop competition dances. While Hip Hop is not the only style of dance that Carly is comfortable teaching, it is definitely where her passion lies and she is super excited to teach and share her passion with everyone at Point B Dance!

  CATHY PATTERSON
Growing up, Cathy studied all forms of dance, from ballet to hip hop, in LA and New York as well as at many dance conventions. She continued her education at the University of Kansas where she was a member of the University of Kansas Dance Company and the Scott Morrow Touring Dance Company. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a major in Human Biology and a concentration in dance. Cathy’s involvement in the dance world is very diverse with experience in teaching, choreographing, and performing. She has been committed to teaching dance for the past 20 years. She was the studio owner and artistic director of a thriving studio and was the director of several competition companies that were successful at both the regional and national levels. She has choreographed/directed tap and jazz showcases, liturgical performances, and musical theatre. Cathy’s performing credits include “Rhymatix” – a tap/hip hop company based out of LA, “Will Rogers Follies”, and several national commercials on the Fine Living Channel and HGTV. Most recently, Cathy has been busy choreographing and teaching master classes across the country as well as adjudicating dance competitions. She feels her most appealing attribute is her passion and love for dance.
